Castillo de Colomares

What Spanish province is Benalmadena?

Hey everyone, and welcome! Today, I’m bringing you along on my trip to the beautiful Spanish province of Málaga and the charming coastal town of Benalmadena.

Located in the Andalusia region of southern Spain, Benalmadena is a popular holiday destination known for its stunning beaches, bustling marina, and picturesque mountain views. Nestled between the city of Málaga and the tourist hub of Torremolinos, this town offers a more laid-back alternative for those looking to experience authentic Spanish culture.

One of the highlights of my trip was visiting the Castillo de Colomares, a unique castle built in honor of Christopher Columbus and his voyages to the New World. Located on a hill overlooking the town, the castle is considered one of the most important examples of European medieval architecture and offers breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside.

Another must-see attraction in Benalmadena is the Selwo Marina, a wildlife park home to a variety of marine animals, including dolphins, seals, and sea lions. The park also offers a range of interactive exhibits, including the chance to swim with dolphins, making it a great family-friendly activity.

But it’s not just the attractions that make Benalmadena such a special place; it’s also the friendly locals and delicious cuisine that make it truly memorable. From tapas bars serving up traditional dishes like paella and sangria, to cute cafes offering fresh pastries and coffee, there’s something for everyone in this charming town.

Overall, I had an incredible time exploring the province of Málaga and all that Benalmadena has to offer. From its stunning beaches and picturesque mountain views, to its rich history and delicious cuisine, this little Spanish town truly has it all. I can’t wait to come back and experience all that it has to offer once again.

Thanks for joining me on this adventure to Benalmadena. If you enjoyed this, be sure to give it a thumbs up and share on social media.

Until next time, buen viaje!
